THE ASK

Re-Turn, Ireland's pioneering deposit return scheme, tasked Backup with creating an experiential marketing campaign to help engage the public around the initiative, highlighting the ease of participation as well as the environmental benefits delivered by the scheme.

THE RESPONSE

A nationwide roadshow that engaged shoppers at key shopping centres around the country. 

 

The mobile exhibition space was designed to raise awareness about the individual environmental benefits of the scheme, emphasising the reduction of landfill waste, energy consumption, water usage, and CO2 emissions. 

 

We designed a series of innovative, exhibition-style installations, crafted to showcase Re-Turn in action. Each installation was tailored to highlight specific environmental impacts:

 

Our teams of trained experts and brand ambassadors travelled around the country educating the public on the environmental benefits and ease of participation in the scheme.

 

The modular exhibition displays were also used for the Re-Turn Launch Day with the media and key stakeholders.

THE RESULT

Both the launch event and experiential roadshow were a huge success, with the custom displays receiving widespread acclaim for their ingenuity and effectiveness in communicating the environmental benefits of Re-Turn’s deposit return scheme.

 

Attendees left with a clear understanding of the positive impact of the scheme, inspired to support and participate in the initiative.
